Athough it was disappointing to find the wet conditions of the showground made it necessary to be inside when the weather was sunnny, I thoroughly enjoyed my day judging the breed. My thanks for a good entry of well presented dogs, there were several very strong classes where some dogs went without cards as there were not enough to go round.

Minor Puppy Dog (6)

1.Moorhouse - Willowmead Just Wonderful. Well balaned 8 months dark slate with dark eye, lovely expression, moved freely.

2. Roughley - Thornyhill Summer Knight. 7 months slate, good head and expression moved well.

3. Carter - Roseollie Midnight Cowboy.

Puppy Dog (5)

1. Finch - Dajues Dizieland Jazz. 11 months slate, a very mature puppy, pleasing expression, just coming into full coat giving him a lovely outline when standing, looked good onthe move.

2. Moorhouse - Willowmead Just Wonderful

Junior Dog (11)

1. Atkins - Labooshar Valentino. Attractive slate with good head and lovely expression, in very hard muscular condition, just enough coat of correct texture, good outline, covered the ground with ease.

2.Plum - Penarlag Out Of This World. Nice light slate, not quite so mature as 1, just beginning to get his adult coat, nice head and enquiring expression, moved freely.

3. Exon and Sharkey - Shabiera Teddy Boy.

2.Jeffries - Shabiera Swagman. Attractive dark slate with good head and nice expression, moved well.

Graduate Dog (5)

1. Jeffries - Merebrow Fruit Punch. Well proportioned slate, good head, pleasing expression, moved steadily.

2. Scott - Applejack at Ramberhay. Another attractive slate dog, good head and lovely expression, moved well, similar nice contruction as 1 but did not show himself as well.

3. Hudson and Whittaker - Barkly Beau Brummel.

Post Graduate Dog (19)

1. Waldron and Eden - Coalacre Ferguson For Snowmead. Well presented light slate, lovely head and expression, good reach of neck and length of back, in hard condition, covered the ground with ease.

2. Goodyer and Gibbons - Drummanor Morolt from Dajue. Well constructed dark slate with good head and nice eye, in full coat, not a flashy dog but lots of character, moved freely.

3. Carter - Woodacre Wynter Knight.

Limit Dog (21)

1. Rice - Wellknowe Countrylife at Arachenza. Handsome dark slate, good head and nice dark eye giving a true Beardie expression, good reach of neck, good length and depth of ribcage, inhard condition, moved freely with lovely outline. RCC.

2. Hood and Nichols - Bumbleridge Woody Woo. Dark brown with lovely head and expression, good length of ribcage and well muscled throughout, moved well.

3. Williamson - Shabiera Starstream.

Open Dog (13)

1.Brooks and Grundy - Braddabrook Botzaris at Fraglestone. Lovely slate in full coat, good head and alert expression, good length and depth of ribcage, all round well balanced construction, excellent topline maintained when moving with drive around the ring. CC.

2. Betts - Ch. Pipadene News Review. Another super dog, lovely brown in full coat, good head, sound and well balanced overall, moved freely, just preferred eye and expression of 1.

3.Spurrier - Ch. Geliland Star Of The Screen.

Minor Puppy Bitch (9)

1. Thomas - Roseollie Posses Princess. Just 7 months brown baby, sweet expression, lovely length of ribcage, close fitting coat, moved with confidence.

2. Cornthwaite - Braddabrook Delilah. Pretty 6 half months dark slate baby, nice head and dark pigmentation, moved well but not quite so confident as 1.

3. Nelson - Thornyhill Serendipity.

Puppy Bitch (10)

1. Nicholls-Ward and Nicholls - Bumbleridge Topsie Turvey. Lovely 9 months black puppy, nice head, dark eyes and pigmentation, good outline, covered the ground well on the move, BP.

2.Pickens - Rodell Moonlight Sonata. Nice 10months brown, good head and sweet expression, good reach of neck and length of ribcage, moved well.

3. Housden - Bamburger Stars in Her Eyes.

Junior Bitch (8)

1.Hardy - Otterswish Bernadette. Very feminine young lady, her brown adult coat just coming through, lovely head and expression, nicely built with good angulation, moved freely.

2. Weldon - Allhikers Joyance. Lovely dark slate, nice head and expression, good reach of neck and length of back, good topline and looked good on the move.

3. Betts - Pipadene Postscript.

1. Rivers - Merrimak Memphis Mist. Lovely blue in full coat, good head and eyes to tone with coat, good reach of neck and length of back, moved freely.

2. Buckley - Holtend Sweet Georgie Brown. Inbetween coats at present but what she has is the correct texture, good head, dark eyes with lovely expression, nicely built and moved well.

3. Birchall - Motswari Nandi.

Post Graduate Bitch (14)

1. Spurrier - Woodacre Wynter Star at Geliland. What an attractive lady, just beginning to get her adult coat, super head and expression, good reach of neck and length of ribcage, moved well maintaining her lovely outline.

2. Burscough - Kilfinan Shepherdess. Nice dark slate, good head and expression, nice length of back and short loin, covered the ground well on the move.

3. Rivers - Merrimak Memphis Mist.

1.Wilding - Bendale Love Me Do. Beautiful brown girl in super condition, good head and sweet expression, good reach of neck, good length and depth of ribcage, excellent topline, moved with drive as she flowed around the ring. CC and BOB.

2. Waldron - Ch. J.'Aime de Chester at Snowmead. Another excellent brown with lovely head and expression, well balanced overall, good reach of neck and level topline, moved out well, RCC.
