Joint Beardie Breed Club Open Show Points Trophies

  • The Competition will run from 1st January to 31st December each year
  • One Trophy for Best Overall (i.e. highest number of points)
  • One Trophy for Best Opposite Sex
  • One Trophy for Best Puppy
  • One Trophy for Best Opposite Sex Puppy

The competition is restricted to DOGS (i.e. dog or bitch) that have never won a CC or RCC (if they win one in the current year they would not be eligable to incur any further points for this competition but they would keep their points up until the show before the date they won a CC or RCC.

For 2003 Kay Farrier from the Bearded Collie Club will facilitate this upon receipt of marked up catalogues from each Show Secretary.

Exhibitors gain points from the following eight Breed Club Open Shows each year:
Midshires BCC February
BCC of Scotland March
BCC Open April
NEBCOL May
BCC of Scotland June
BCC Open September
SCBCC October
EBCA November
Points to be awarded in each class:
First in any class 5 points
Second in any class 4 points
Third in any class 3 points
Fourth in any class 2 points
Fifth in any class 1 point
Any Brace, Team, Progeny classes are excluded for obvious reasons
Best in Show + 5 points
Reserve Best in Show
(or Best Opposite Sex)		 + 3 points
Best Puppy in Show + 4 points
Reserve Best Puppy
(or Best Opposite Sex Puppy)		 + 2 points

Clarification and resolving of disputes
Kay Farrier, (or any BCC officer who may take over running the competition in the future) has final say with regards to disputes but correspondance can be entered into to clarify points etc.

What do I need to do?
Nothing. Exhibitors do not need to 'claim' points, they will be calulated by the facilitator from the completed catalogues.

Trophy presentations
The Club/Branch nearest to the actual winners will present them at a suitable venue/date agreed with the winners i.e. Club Social event or show). The top 10 will be published in the Annual BCC yearbook and Club/Branch Annuals and Newsletters.
